Essential Aid

bring hope

Many refugee families have fled war and violence in their countries, and now find themselves living in makeshift tents and shelters with no access to basic needs, struggling to make ends meet. GAiN UK is dedicated to help ease their suffering and help restore their dignity through providing aid and donations collected from our partners and donors.

Currently, our focus is on helping the refugees in Greece and Ukraine, as well as helping those living in extreme poverty in Romania and Serbia.

For Greece and Ukraine

Access to toilet and washing stations is limited in refugee camps in Greece so nappies are vital to mothers with babies.  We are collecting nappies, size 4-7, (unopened) to help make life a bit easier for the mothers.

As for Ukraine, food is the main need for the refugees.  As sending food from the UK has become harder and more expensive in the past years, we are sending money at the moment so our partners can get the necessary items for those in need.

For Serbia and Romania

As 25% of Serbians are considered poor, life can be a daily struggle to either eat or keep warm.  Sending relief goods will help these people not to have to make that choice, thus making life easier and more manageable.

Our partner in Romania helps children and teens living by the rubbish dumps, so donated clothes will help them as they face many challenges in their lives.

Below is our updated list of things we are collecting.

Ways to give

You can drop off your donations at any of our collection points (see GAiN Collection point map on our homepage).  If you are not near any collection point and have a sizeable donation, email us at and we’ll arrange a pick up for you.

GAiN: Ukraine Crisis Appeal

Making a difference…Thank you!

Your donations of clothes and supplies will have a genuine impact on the lives of refugees from Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, Ukraine and many other countries in crisis. These donations will continue to meet an on-going need. As soon as we have collected enough relief supplies to fill one container, we will be sending it off and then gearing up to fill the next one.

Thank you for your part in helping those who have lost so much have a glimmer of hope for their future.
